4 steps to recharge your phone online
All it takes are four steps and two minutes of your time to complete your prepaid phone recharge.
Using a mobile phone is necessary in today’s times. Whatever your age or station in life, you must stay connected with your family, friends and associates. You could be a student or a homemaker, a businessperson or a contract worker — everybody needs a mobile phone.
Also, there is so much choice with respect to the kind of mobile handset and prepaid connection you can buy in India. Most new users go with prepaid connections, at least till the time they get used to the phone and how to use it. Others see value in topping up or recharging the phone connection periodically instead of buying a postpaid connection which may be more expensive.
But as much you love using your phone and the prepaid SIM card that goes with it, you have one grouse with it: the recharge you must do to keep the connection active. Thus far, you have probably been recharging your connection using your service provider’s smartphone app or website. Maybe it’s time to recharge differently, using a different app or payment mode, such as the Airtel Payments Banks. Relax — you don’t need to be an Airtel subscriber to use the Airtel Payments Bank for recharge.
If you are about to recharge your prepaid connection, you need to follow these 4 steps:
#1 Choose your mode of recharge. You have the option of using your service provider’s app to make the payment, or opt for a third party payment platform like recharge apps, UPI apps or the Airtel Payments Bank. Of these, the UPI apps and Airtel Payments Bank allow you to do the phone recharge whether you are an Airtel subscriber or not. They also allow bill payments.
#2 Choose your mode of payment. The Airtel Payments Bank is an e-wallet that you can load with funds from your bank account. You can do the recharge using this money. Meanwhile, you can also check on available Airtel prepaid recharge offers on the Airtel website or the smartphone app. You get full talktime with the Airtel recharge plans, as also a range of benefits that add value to your connection. Once you choose the recharge plan, you can opt for your most preferred payment mode: Airtel Payments Bank, net banking, credit/debit cards or UPI app.
#3 Choose the recharge amount. You can now choose the recharge amount. You may look at the available Airtel prepaid recharge offers to select from among them. Or you can input the recharge amount of your choice if you don’t want to change your existing pack.
#4 Finish payment. Hit ‘Pay now’ using your preferred payment mode (as listed in #2 above) and complete the recharge on your phone. You can continue using the connection as before once you have recharged it. Meanwhile, if you were late in recharging your connection, the mobile service provider will restore services after the recharge amount is processed.
